Roundup of September: Award, Birthday, Hiring & More!
September was such a wonderful month here at Expat Nest; a time full of joy and momentous events. Expat Nest founder Vivian Chiona shares some highlights of this very special time…
First up, WE’RE HIRING! We’re looking both for expat-experienced counsellors and a virtual assistant. If you’d be excited to be part of our team and have the right experience, send your CV and a 30-second introductory video to firstname.lastname@example.org.
And here are some highlights of the past month:
- Expat Nest won another award for best online counselling provider (more info to follow). This is the third award we’ve received this year! Find my (very happy and spontaneous) on-the-scenes video here, where I also share some of the challenges I faced in the beginning stages of Expat Nest (and why it’s important to listen to that little voice inside…).
- I celebrated my birthday (see photo) while attending the Families in Global Transition (FIGT) meeting in Barcelona. We discussed all kinds of ideas related to the international community and I was over the moon when the group sang “Happy birthday” to me in eight different languages – a true celebration in diversity!
- I produced a podcast on nostalgia for SuperGreeks (this one’s for our Greek-speaking audience) – find it here.
- Finally, if you missed the August Special (where we shared resources to support your growth during challenging times) you can find it here.
Thank you for your support. You are the reason we are doing this work. I am so appreciative of you – whether you’re a client, following us on social media, or reading our blogs and newsletters (or all of the above!).
